How do I wash a skein of yarn?
I am soaking 15 skeins of yarn i bought from ebay they smelled like heavy tobacco and dog. i just need to know how to go about drying it?
Wash and dry in one of those washer bags that you use for little things, like baby socks, or stuff you want to protect from velcro.
Keep the bag zipped, and put it in the dryer that way too.
I usually close them with a safety pin, so that they don’t unzip on me, while in the wash.
I have attached a link so that you know what I am talking about. I am not affiliated with “stacks and stacks” …. I hope that I am not reported for this. The image is for reference only, so that you know what I am talking about.
It is a good idea to wash and dry the wool anyway, so that it is pre-shrunk. That is my opinion, for what it is worth.
