Wax can be replaced by what?
My friend opened a collar knitting factory, for collar mass production.
He is using cotton/wool yarn to make the collar, and the yarn must be coated with both wax and oil before processing it to collar. ( to strengthen it)
The problem is, waxing process is very long and wax is expensive… so is there any other substance cheaper/faster than wax?
Thanks !
I know both cotton and wool can be mercerized to strengthen them.
I do not know if this is an option for a combined yarn
