Does bamboo fabric feel rough & scratchy/itchy or soft & ok?
Does it feel like cotton? I mean I’m allergic to most fabrics except for cotton, viscose and the occasional rayon. I can’t wear all other synthetics and organic wool is super itchy & scratchy to me.
Those of you that have felt/tried bamboo fabric: does it compare to wool? cotton? Polyester? What does it feel like to your touch?

The bamboo fabric I have seen feels like cotton to me. I suppose that it would depend on how it was processed though. Manufacturers can most likely select the type of fiber they want to simulate and modify the bamboo according to the desired product. Most manufacturers seem to be marketing a soft, cotton-like product. Due to the fact it is a natural “fiber”, it will breathe similarly to cotton. I would also guess that there are manufacturers who are creating blends with bamboo and some who may be treating the bamboo chemically to enhance it, the latter of which kind of defeats the purpose of using natural materials.
I have worn t-shirts and undergarments made from bamboo and personally, didn’t feel much difference from their cotton counterparts.
