Should the Egyptian Tunisian and Jordanian governments emulate the Tiananmen Massacre incident?
Banana Republics around the Arab world that are controlled by almost authoritarian governments (though none as authoritarian as BR of China) are facing riot like situation. People have taken to roads and are demanding the removal of the regimes in these countries.
Will China come forward to help these authoritarian despots. After all they successfully used Tanks and massive army to curb the student protest at Tiananmen Square in 1989. can the Arab world use the same strategy to kill the anti-regime protests?
What would be the reaction of the world community now if the same tactic was adopted by the Arab world? ie pressing APC and Tank regiment of army to kill the protesters?
This scenario can not be considered and the situation in Egypt is different than China.
What happen in China is considered a limited riot compared to this public uprise which swept allover Egypt ‘s main cities.
We are talking about cities that are 100s kilometers apart and 10s of thousands of people in addition to more than 20 years separate us and Tiananmen massacre.
The Egyptian army will not open fire against civilians.
