A question for mom willing to be honest…?

Did you ever think that motherhood would be this wonderful, yet THIS hard all at the same time? I don’t think anyone ever lets on how hard it really is. Why is this? I do it too, when people ask me how things are going – I say “great, I love being a mom”. And, while that is very true, underneath the surface I also want to say: I spent all day changing diaper after diaper, having food blown back in my face, i’m wearing my husbands thread bare t-shirt that probably has 3 different baby bodily fluid stains on it, I can’t remember the last time I showered and my hair looks like a bird has been nesting in it.
So my question is – how are yo doing – really?
I’m not a mother. For that matter I’m not a woman.
So I have no idea why I’m answering this question. I do apologise.
