NEW to sewing – I need help with pulling up the bobbin thread.?
OK – I bought a cheapie little sewing machine (White Sew E-Z W338) and that may be my problem… but I don’t know enough to tell if it is or not, so please help!
I can’t get the bobbin thread to make a loop. I don’t understand the bobbin at all, and the instructions are not helpful. Should the bobbin turn when I turn the wheel to move the needle? Mine doesn’t. The instructions say to just set the bobbin in the hole and go. Shouldn’t I have to do something with the thread first?
Yep, did everything described in the first answer, and it’s not working. How does the thread catch to create the loop? Can I remove the plate under the presser foot to see what’s going on under there?
Which direction on you loading your bobbin? The thread should be going counter clockwise. You prob have to pull about 3 inches of thread out of the bobbin to be safe. I would pull that up over the plate and drape to the left. Then pull about 5or 6 inches of thread out from the needle. Try holding that thread somewhat taught and lower your needle up and down with your side dial and see if it finally loops the bobbin thread. Can’t promise it will work, but it’s worth a shot! Bobbins give alot of people a hard time! It can be very frustrating…and you feel like you are just going around in circles! I hope this works! Good Luck!!!
