Where can I find an easy to program LED controller?
I work a lot with LEDs but I pay a fortune to have them animated. Is there a programmable chip with a good set of instructions, so I can program the patterns right in my computer and then solder the LEDs together. I have a basic knowledge of LED circuits, but nothing more than soldering LEDs in series and parallel.
BTW, I don’t want to hear things like “It’s easier to just have it done for you” or “you’re wasting your time” Any links to good products or ideas for shortcuts would be extremely helpful.
Have you already tried an Arduino? you can multiplex many ports to get a lot of LED’s functioning.
