What is doublet yarn ?
Ive got an old pattern i want to knit that asks for patons doublet. Ive searched the internet and cant find it anywhere. Is it no longer made ?If so what can i use to replace it ?
I’ve searched Yarndex and they have no listing for a Paton’s yarn either current or discontinued called Doublet. Are you sure it doesn’t ask for DK or double knitting yarn? DK weight is slightly thinner than worsted weight and knits up on a US size 4 through 7 needle at 5 stitches to the inch. Use the gauge listed in the pattern along with the needle size called for to find a substitute. And I agree, if it was a Patons’ yarn an e-mail to them may help you out with their recommendation for a substitute.
