Patons Chunky

Know any good knitting patterns?

Last year I knit myself a sweater out of Patons Shetland Chunky yarn. I used the right needles and all, but after a while it seemed the holes (you know, between the stitches) became loose and saggy. The sweater now easily catches on to anything I happen to lean against. Have any of you out there tried a knitting pattern that worked so well you are STILL wearing your product? Wanna share your pattern? Any help would be appreciated!

I really like using the website www.knitty.com to find patterns. It’s an online magazine that has a TON of free projects. I’ve never had trouble with any of the patterns that I’ve gotten there– they hold up excellently.

Also, just to check, are you using the recommended needle size listed on the package or are you making a swatch first to check your gauge? Some people just knit more loosely than others, and so it could be helpful to use a smaller needle size than recommended if this is the case with you!

I hope you enjoy the site!
