What is the Best 100% cotton yarn for knitting?
I am considering cotton-ease but I am getting mixed reviews on the lion brand product. Please help! Yarn is exspencive and I can’t afford to spend money on stuff that won’t work.
I’m making a sweater. I like the feel of cotton much better then wool. I love how TLC Cotton Plus knits and cares, but I’m looking for a charcole color.
I worked at a knitting store for a year and a half, and the best cotton yarn by far is Blue Sky Alpacas brand organic or dyed cotton. I use it for everything. It is so soft, comes in a lot of colors, and is worsted weight. It’s even machine wash and dryable. It comes in hanks of 150 yds and usually costs around $10 a hank. You can find it at some yarn shops, but you can go to the blue sky site for stores that carry it. Or you could get it online. The store I worked at has an online store and carries it all the time. It is called Unwind Yarn in Burbank, CA. I just moved to NC and there are no local stores that carry Blue Sky, which is my favorite brand. They also have great alpaca obviously. I will be continuing to order it from Unwind! Nothing else compares.
