How to crochet a beanie?
I want to make a beanie. I suck at crochet but I am really good at making the tunisian stitch and so if anyone knows of a pattern I can use to make a beanie using tunisian stitch then I would be really grateful. Preferably just a normal looking beanie, free pattern online. I saw a ribbed one and a “beehive” one but I really just want a normal looking beanie using tunisian. thanks.
The simplest way is to follow the ‘ribbed’ pattern, but instead of ribbing do it with a plain stitch.
Or make it up – crochet a chain long enough to circle your brow, stitch in tunisian as long as your head is tall, and hten sew up the side seam.After that all you’ll need to do is decide whether you want a flat top (press and stitch flat) or a gathered one (take your yarn through each final stitch ont he top edge, and pull tight and fasten off.
