Are circular knitting needles interchangable with double-pointed needles?
I just got back from the store after buying two sets of circular needles, only to find that the pattern I was using specified double-pointed needles.
I’m wondering if the pattern would need to be altered at all to be compatible with circular needles, or (hopefully) if I would simply follow the same directions.

There are three methods of knitting a small-diameter tube: using 4 or 5 double-pointed needles, using 2 circular needles, and using Magic Loop method on one long circular needle. Each has advantages and each has disadvantages, and in the end it’s a matter of personal preference.
