Double Crochet count?
Hi, I’m working on starting a double crochet afghan. Do my stitches in the foundation chain & DC’s have to be an even number (like 10 stitches, not 9)
I really appreciate your answers!!
Thanks,
Cathy
No, you do not have to have an even or odd number of stitches. For example, you can have a row of 130 double crochets, or 151. Make the row as long or as short as you prefer. It’s only necessary to remember to add 3 additional chains to the end of your foundation chain to count as your first double crochet.
Good luck! =)
