Crocheting a beanie. Need help!?
I just started a beanie. I am new to crocheting. I found a youtube video that uses single crochet and double crochet, very simple! I was just wondering if theres a way towards the end of the beanie to make it “go in” to kinda tighten in more just crochet a row or two to make it tighter, if someone could give me a beginner pattern or video that they know of thatd be amazing!!
As the other poster stated , you can do a “decrease” stitch. In patterns this is written “sc2tog” , or “single crochet 2 together” or double crochet, or whatever stitch you are using. Basically you draw up a loop through a stitch, but don’t yarn over, then leaving that loop on your hook, draw up another loop in the next next stitch, then yarn over and draw the yarn through all three loops on the hook.

Alternatively you could switch to a smaller hook for the last few rows.
