how do I turn a grid into a crochet pattern?
I have a grid of a scull that I want to make into a crocheted afghan, but I don’t know how to make a crochet pattern. for example: How do I figure out how many stitches to chain on to start the afghan, etc. I do know how many grid squares there are, but how many stitches per grid do I do? The grid is 46 squares wide by 75 squares long. Math is not my strong point. Thank you
I would find an afghan pattern that has no design in it to start. I would make sure it uses simple stitches (single, double, half, etc). Decide where you want the skull to be ( centered, in a corner?) and I would then decide how large the skull should be. You may want it large so every square on your chart should have 4 stitches in it, or more. It’s really all up to you!
