Crochet Pattern Help?
Hi,
I am making a shawl from a crochet pattern from lionsbrand.
I am stuck.
This is what the pattern reads:
” 9 dc in next ch-5 sp” – I do not know what this means? Do I make 9 dc in one ch (from previous row)? Or Do I spread out 9 dc over 5 ch’s (from previous row) ? I am very confused.
Previously the pattern had said “sc in next ch-5 sp”, so I made 1 sc, in each of the 5 consecutive ch’s. Was that right?
In the previous row you have worked 5 chain. This has made a space. Lets call it a loop as that describes it better. On the present row you do 9dc into the loop made by the 5 chain on the previous row.
The same applies to the sc. You do the sc into the loop made by the 5 chain
