crochet beanie?
My crocheted beanies bulge at the top. It looks like a bubble. The kids want it more rounded. In general I crochet 6 sc into the center, then 2 sc in each of those, then 1 sc-2sc 6xs, then 1sc-1sc-2sc 6xs, and i keep increasing. If anyone knows of an easy more rounded beanie please help. I thought about starting with a coaster pattern for the first 5 rows so it dont bubble but can find an easy one.
You probably need to start with more single crochets in the center. I’d try 10, then adjust it up or down from there until it lays flat. You’ve got the increase pattern right though. If you start with 6 sc you should increase by 6 each row, if you start with 10 sc, increase by 10 each row, etc….
