Can someone help me with my knitting dilemma?
Okay, so I started some gloves for a guy (http://www.knitting-crochet.com/glo.html), but I used size 4 yarn instead of size 2 yarn (sports yarn), not knowing what sports yarn was, and assuming, unwisely, that is was basically the same. I’ve gotten about 5 inches of one of the cuffs. If possible, I’d rather not get new yarn, but I definitely will if there are no other options. So, what I’m asking is, is there another pattern that uses size 4 yarn and size 8 (I also have size 11) double pointed needles? Any other suggestions are welcome (turning it into a hat is also an option. Or, I could go for a scarf).
FYI, a LOT more people than you might think. It’s becoming quite popular, actually.
This one is for bulky yarn. What you can do is start over again using the yarn in two strands to make up the additional thickness. If it is not exactly what you want I went through about 20 sites and they all wanted the sport yarn or a different size needle that would not work with what you have. I have a site that you can look at if you might change you mind and make mittens. Let me know.
