When crocheting I prefer to use a “J” hook or larger. The larger the hook the better. My problem is that I end up choosing a project based solely on hook size! I know I’m going about this all wrong & don’t want to deal with ‘conversion math’! I need to make a baby blanket (preferably in granny squares) and cannot find “large hook” patterns. Can I make granny squares with any size hook and, as long as I’m consistent, it will all work out??? Hope you can clear this up for me!
Thanks very much.
My friend and I crochet together and we rarely go by the hook size in the pattern. We always follow the hook size the yarn itself suggests. Dunno if that helps. :
