Crochet Hook Airplane

crochet hook airplane
I know about knitting needles, but what about a crochet hook/needle??

Can I take a crochet hook onto an airplane? I will not be going from/to/through the USA where people tend to be extra paranoid…

It is small, like a pen, not really sharp and very non threatening… surely I can take it??

Crochet hooks and knitting needles are allowed on airplanes according to the TSA guidelines. But keep in mind that any TSA agent can overrule at the airport based on the immediate circumstances. It’s a good idea to take some waste yarn, a self-addressed padded envelope (so you can mail the needles to yourself), and extra needles in your luggage just in case the agent on duty doesn’t let them through.

Also, the TSA guidelines pertain to US travel only. International carriers have their own rules.

With that, I’ve flown on domestic airlines recently and haven’t had any problems with knitting needles or crochet hooks.
