I’m crocheting a dress and I need some help?
I am using this pattern http://bellabambinaknits.blogspot.com/2007/08/sweater-dress-pattern.html and I’m stuck on a few parts.
Where it says “round 2: Join to ch2 of first shell.” (the end of the round 2 on that pattern). I am not understanding this at all. and then the next round 3 -10 I don’t understand as well, anyone know what I need to do?
They are using the term ’round’ instead of ‘row’, meaning that you don’t turn your work when you reach full circle.
Round 2 … keep repeating all the stitches between the asterisks (* *) until you come full circle on the row, then join with a slip stitch to the top of the ch2 at the beginning of the round. Do not turn.
Rounds 3-10 are all the same. Sl st in first ch 1 space. Then do all the stitches in the parenthesis in that same chain space.Then in the next ch1 space, do the next series of stitches between the ( )and keep repeating that series all the way around until you come full circle. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 2 that you did at the beginning of the round.
Hope this helps. The pattern is a little different from most of the easy patterns that I have seen. When reading a pattern, pay close attention to the punctuation. In general, do the stitches until you come to a comma. ( ) is used to enclose a group of related stitches. * * is usually meant to denote a series of stitches which will be repeated all together.
