Amigurumi spiral crochet?
Hello,
I am trying to make Amigurumi. I can crochet in rounds, (or at least i think i can) but instead of a sphere, i always get a tube instead. Could anyone tell me what it is I’m doing wrong?

I would like to add that i am aware of how to crochet a tube. It’s crocheting a ball that i’m having difficulty with. Do i need to increase stitches, or something?
to crochet a ball you need to increase. first round chain 2, make 5 single crochet into the second chain from the hook.
put a little marker, like a piece of contrasting yarn in the last stitch to keep track of your rounds because the key with
Amiguri is it continues in a spiral, you don’t finish each round.
next round, make 2 single crochet in each single crochet, so you have 10 crochet at the end of the round, mark the end of the round.
the next round you crochet 2 single crochet into the first stitch, 1 single crochet in the next, 2 in the next, 1 in the next so you have 15 single crochets (sc) at the end.
next round, 2 single crochet in the next, then 1 in the next, 1 in the next, then 2 in the next, around until you have 20 crochet.
once you have the size circle you want, just crochet even, on stitch in every stitch, to work down the body of your critter.
