Well, hmm, after looking at that bear pattern, I can tell you this much. It may have started out as a pattern from a book but the Etsy seller changed it. Or even designed it herself.
Below is a site for all types of Amigurumi bears.
Amigurumi crochet is from Asia. Either in Japanese patterns, which are mostly diagrams, and don’t need or use a true written pattern, or in chinese patterns which mostly use color charting for each piece.
But just based on the large head of the bear, if you look at the bear patterns below, and then play around with maybe one or two patterns you may be able to figure out how to make the bear that you truly want.
The bear on the Etsy site you referred to, is not just crochet, but also has felt pieces that are being used as facial parts and to help hold the head straight to the body.
Good luck…I’m pretty sure, because I also sell on etsy, that she comes up with “her own” patterns in a similar fashion. Trial and error with other patterns, until she gets what she’s looking for.
