Circular Knitting Needles Socks

circular knitting needles socks
Circular knitting for beginners?

I am just learning to knit in the round (I’ve got a pair of circular needles about 30″, and I can knit a little tube using the magic loop knitting method).

What are some really easy circular projects? I found some patterns for socks and mittens online, but both of them seem pretty complicated (ie. I have no idea what a ‘gusset’ means).

Does anyone have an EASY pattern for socks, mittens, or anything else that is knit in the round?

The thing to do is just follow the directions and it will all make sense. Don’t read ahead and get in trouble! You are anticipating trouble when none exist. You must keep your focus on where you are now, not rows ahead, or rows back. This is very good for anything in life… stay in the here and now.

Socks are not very hard to do at all! I can do them in my sleep (and have so many times!!)… just follow the directions.

Mittens are very simple to do. It’s like a hat… with a smaller hat on the side. Do the “after-thought” thumb… it’s the simplest. A sock is the same… a tube with a bend in it. Again, do the after-thought heel — it’s the simplest way to do them.
