I want to knit a big cozy blanket for my boyfriend, but I’m a beginner!?
All I really know how to do is the garter stitch (Knit stitch, I guess.) I can purl, but it takes me more time and I’m not very fluid. I just made a big long scarf with just garter stitch, and I’d like to make a BIG cozy blanket for my boyfriend in 2-4 colors, in blocks that I would sew together. I’d like to use big, size 13 knitting needles. Any patterns? By big, I mean 50 by 70, or something similar. My main wonder is how much should I cast on, and should I use circular needles? Sorry, I’m a beginner…:)
This site shows how to make the lace and the things needle to make it. It is very fast and you can make your squares any size you want. By the way there are different types of needles and you can see the different ones if you go into the search.
