What yarn do I use to Latch Hook?
My friend bought a few boxes and finished them. Now she gave the patterns to me, but then I don’t know what kind of yarn to use.
Is it the same yarn you use to knit and crochet? Or is it the more cheaper and rougher yarn?
Really, you can use any kind of yarn you want.It all depends on the texture you want for the finished piece.
Experiment. Have fun trying different types of yarn. Thickness, texture, even lengths of yarn to add depth to the finished work. Try some sampling just to get the hang of it before spending time on a complicated pattern.
Once you get good at it, you’ll find you can do some pretty amazing 3-D stuff by mixing different yarns and using a tiny scissor to carve between colors.
