Selling Knitted or Crochet Items at Yard Sale?
I have been knitting and crocheting for a little bit now. I’m only 16 and i wanted to knit different things so that after the summer i could maybe have a yard sale to sell them. i was thinking of making bookmarks, afghans, ipod or cellphone socks, hats, and other things. i was wondering if this is a good idea and if anyone would buy these items? also how much would u pay for afgans that are average lengths and baby blankets. any other ideas what to make? just curious if it is a good idea or not, i really want to sell something!
Find something you really love.
Two things that sell well are amigurumi (google this, you will fall in love) and crocheted flower pins (do a search on flickr for knitted or crochet flowers and see what you come up with). Try etsy.com for selling handmade items. If you’d rather sell locally/in person, check with churches–they often have craft sales.
